Lahemaa national park

It was created in 1971 for maintaining the nature, the ecological systems and the geological uniqueness of Northern Estonia. Now it is a biggest national park in Estonia concentrated on preserving traditional Estonian swamps – the predominant type of terrain and birds. Fans of bird-watching will love going to Lahemaa. You may either stay in Tallinn or directly stay close to the park - in one of two manor houses located there and providing accommodation – Sagadi Manor or Palmse Manor.

Sagadi Manor

The Sagadi Forest Centre at the Sagadi manorial estate on the northern coast of Estonia, is surrounded by the beautiful nature of Lahemaa National Park. The history of the estate dates back more than 500 years. Nowadays, Sagadi has become a renowned centre for environmental education, culture and tourism. Now Sagadi manor houses both the museum of forestry and a hotel for 28 places.
