Known as the 'unofficial fifth major', the annual Players Championship attracts the strongest field of any event on the golfing calendar. The combination of the colossal winner's cheque, the title's prestige and the spectacular Sawgrass backdrop makes the Players one of the sport's most exhilirating events.
Golfers hoping to tame the Stadium Course will have to safely negotiate the treacherous 17th four times if they have any aspirations of victory. Sawgrass' now world famous penultimate hole may only require a short to middle iron, but the island green is enough to make any golfer weak at the knees, and has been the undoing of many pretenders to the Players Championship throne.
