Todey this is the most remarkable arhitectural monument of Classicism in Latvia. From 1921 till 1941 the palace housed an agricultural college. After WWII it was managed by Mezotne Selection and Testing Station.
Since 1996, Mezotne palace has been under the authority of the State Real Estate Agency, After being completely restored, it is open again to everybody, offering the widest opportunitis for busines meetings and rest.
Mezotne palace is located in the District of Bauska, on the bank of the river Lielupe, 70 km from Riga and 10 km off the Via Baltica highway. The splendid palace, its surroundings and beautiful park, which is one of most cultivated landscape parks in Latvia, creates an inimitable environment and makes one to wish returning here again and again.

Rundale Palace

The Rundale Palace Museum is a scientific establishment that investigates Latvian art of earlier periods, collects objects d'art, arranges exhibitions and prepares materials for publishing. Thirty rooms on the second floor of the palace are envisaged for exhibitions. Currently an exhibition is held about the construction work of this and other Duke's palaces in Courland.
The museum's art collections are displayed on the first floor. During the summer season exhibitions are also staged in the palace's stables and in the gardener's house.

Orthodox Cathedral

Built between 1876 and 1884, this church was turned into a planetarium during the Soviet era, and Latvians still often refer to it as the planetarijs. They ask that all 'brothers and sisters' donate to the reconstruction of the interior of the building which was destroyed by the Soviets so that comrades might look to the heavens to spot Sputnik in place of God.
