The official tariff is £0,3 (0,43€) per kilometer during the day, and £0,4 (0,6€) between 22:00 and 06:00. Licensed cabs have yellow number plates. Unlicensed taxis sometimes turn off the meter and you have to haggle beforehand. For shorter journeys try not to pay more than £1,52 (< 2,15€). Many drivers, though, will not move for less than £2 (2,86€)
