New York Club
The
Broadway cabaret is closed for a more generally New York themed club.
Unfortunately what cannot be changed about this place is its location.
It is an impressive venue, but it is simply too far out of the centre
to be remembered regularly. Still they are trying and the stage has been
set for some exciting evenings on the town. It is a good place to go to
after an event at the Siemens Arena or after catching movie at Akropolis.
Pabo Latino
Upscale
and classy crowds do the Salsa and Tango things to the extreme. Pabo Latino
is a purely scrumptious place to get up, get up and get-get down. The
door policy does its best not to admit those who cannot afford the 25Lt
Mojitos, which keep the crowd conversational and enjoyable, or at the
very least literate. The only drawback is that there is only so much Latin
music available and frequent guests will notice the same songs repeating.
But then again, at least they have an excuse; other clubs just hire lousy
deejays.
Hawaii
It
is hard to tell what is more appealing, the fluffy drinks or the gals
serving them. Part of the variety that makes the Grand Casino so appealing,
Hawaii is a cocktail bar/restaurant that serves drinks and food until
the morning tide kicks in, and that is pretty early (or late) depending
on how you look at it. Delicious in just about every conceivable way.
SkyBar
The
bar that we predicted would catch on has caught on. A super pre-club venue,
with girls and guys dressing sexy and tipping back some sophisticated
cocktails. Stellar most of all because of the views, but supplemented
by low-key lounge deejays and a generally great atmosphere, it is an ideal
bar to visit for those on a short stay, and an even better bar to frequent
for the rest of you.
