· Tour to the Latgale region – Land of blue lakes.
This full day tour leads to the east of Latvia – region of Latgale, also called the Land of Blue Lakes. Here the guests will familiarise themselves with local traditions of craft, culture and with the historical heritage. In the town of Livani the guests will have a great possibility to visit Latgale Arts and Crafts Centre, and Livani Glass Museum. Further the road will lead to the second largest city of Latvia – Daugavpils. Here the guests will visit the Daugavpils Fortress that is a unique fortress in the East of Europe. The guests will enjoy an exciting tour by tram that will lead to the exhibition hall of the world famous artist Mark Rotko where it will be possible to look at his artworks from different periods. The tour will be concluded by a visit to a gorgeous orthodox cathedral and acquiring knowledge of Slavic traditions at the Russian House.
· Tour to Liepaja – the town where the wind is born.
This tour will discover the unique town on the coast of the Baltic Sea – Liepaja. During the guided tour the guests will see and hear the largest mechanical organs in the world that are not rebuilt and will have a possibility to explore the weaving in the loom (frame) as well as to inspect the most attractive accommodations in Liepaja. In the afternoon the guests will have an opportunity to take a part in the interactive reality show and to live the part of a prisoner and learn the most interesting and shocking facts from the history of the Naval Port and its prison.
· Excursion around the town of Bauska and its surroundings
This one day tour gives a chance to familiarise yourselves with former palaces of the dukes of Courland, the most beautiful historical parks in Latvia and to enjoy the traditional beer “Bauska”. Before a rest at a guest house there will be a possibility to explore the ride on an amphibious vehicle along the roads and wayless areas.
· Tour along the Vidzeme Golden Circle
This one day tour will lead the guests along the Vidzeme Golden Circle: Sigulda and its surroundings, Cesis district. Going pn this trip, you will see many interesting places – Gauja National Park, Turaida Castle and Sigulda, as well as enjoy a ride by air cable car above the valley of the river Gauja. · One day route to Munchausen’s world and temptation of North Vidzeme
At the museum of Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Munchausen and walking along the forest path the guests will get an insight into the world of the most truthful man in the world – Mr. Munchausen and will learn about his adventures. Afterwards the guests will sense the history of the 19th century at Limbazi town and in Dikli Palace. The trip will finish with an excursion around the medieval town Valmiera.
· To the land of narrow-gauge railway
This one day trip will give you an opportunity to take a narrow gauge railway train from Gulbene to Aluksne and to experience adventures with Soviet border guards, robbers and the Gypsies. At Stameriena it will be possible to visit a historicism style estate with a palace and the Russian Orthodox church of St. Alexander Nevski.
The trip will also lead through the most beautiful town of Vidzeme – Cesis.
· One day excursion to Jelgava – the capital of the former Duchy of Courland
This one day tour to the capital of former Douchy of Courland – Jelgava. On the way you will have an opportunity to visit the deer garden, to taste game for lunch, to get familiar with World War I events and also to see marvelous “Ice Sculpture Festival”. Jelgava Palace is a witness of historical events through several centuries. At the end of the day resort “Zemgale” offers a real rest and active entertainment options.
· Tour to Ventspils – the town for the family and recreation
This is a possibility to discover this up-to-date, modern European city with a wide range of available entertainment and tourist sights. It is located in the north-west of Latvia some 189 kilometres from Riga. During the tour you will get acquainted with Usma’s Lake, Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Centre, Livonian order castle, Sea Side Open-air Museum and many other interesting places in Ventspils.
